This Matcha Mint Smoothie is the Taurus smoothie from our Smoothie Horoscope collection. And just like its reliable and hardworking astrological namesake, you can trust this super-green, super-delicious superfood powerhouse when you need a boost of energy, focus and alertness. 

Loaded with greens (spinach, mint, cucumber and our Focus matcha-moringa elixir blend) and thickened with chia and banana, this light and adaptogenic smoothie (or smoothie bowl) is packed with nutrients, fiber and antioxidant power, and screams summer spa day thanks to fresh cucumber and mint.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium or large banana 
  • ½ cup chopped cucumber
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp JOYÀ Focus matcha-moringa elixir blend
  • crushed ice
  • water to desired consistency - use less for a smoothie bowl (or optionally coconut water or coconut milk)
  • optional toppings/mix-ins: shredded or flaked coconut, hemp seeds, bee pollen*, and larger chunks of fruit, nuts and seeds for a smoothie bowl

*Note: omit bee pollen to keep the recipe vegan.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients (except toppings/mix-ins) to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and no chunks remain.
  2. Pour into glass(es), optionally add toppings/mix-ins and enjoy!
Pro Tip: Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 24 hours. Alternatively, pour leftovers into an ice cube tray and use to make other smoothies, or freeze into popsicles!
