Easy Tahini Coconut Sauce & Salad Dressing: 3 Ways

If you’re like us, then you’ve been adding Joya’s Tahini-Coconut Superfood Nut Butter to everything. Smothering it on pancakes, drizzling it over fruit, adding it to baked goods, making bulletproof coffee… the list goes on! But this sweet and creamy condiment isn’t limited to sweet concoctions. It’s the ingredient you didn’t know you were missing to make flavourful sauces and salad dressings.

We have three easy variations that you can quickly whip up. Seriously, we’re talking one bowl, one whisk and one speedy minute to blitz all these ingredients in a single go! These sauces are a fantastic way to add a burst of flavour to roasted vegetables and proteins, and make a great dip for falafel, french fries, and veggie fritters. Pro tip: if you add a bit more water, you’ll have the perfect creamy salad dressing!

Ingredients

Middle Eastern

  • ¼ cup (50 g) Joya’s Tahini-Coconut Superfood Butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon pomegranate syrup (or date or carob syrup, also called molasses)
  • Optional: 1 garlic clove, minced water, as needed to achieve desired consistency (about 2 ½ tablespoons)
  • sea salt & ground black pepper, to taste

Asian

  • ¼ cup (50 g) Joya’s Tahini-Coconut Superfood Butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • ½ – 1 teaspoon tamari sauce, to taste
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • ¼ – ½ teaspoon ginger root, minced (or ¼ teaspoon ginger powder)
  • water, as needed to achieve desired consistency (about 2 ½ tablespoons)
  • sea salt & ground black pepper, to taste

Italian

  • ¼ cup (50 g) Joya’s Tahini-Coconut Superfood Butter
  • 2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • water, as needed to achieve desired consistency (about 2 ½ tablespoons)
  • sea salt & ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl and whisk until smooth and emulsified, adding water 1/2 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  2. Drizzle or dip and enjoy.
